Sisyphus
CD010 - Painting consists of two panels.
Each panel measures 48" h x 48" w x 1 3/4"d. The panels fit together to form a width of 96". Sisyphus, of Greek mythology, carries the rock, that symbolizes the weight of the world, up the mountain. As he begins his journey, one can see the strain of the effort reflected in his body and face. We know his journey will start again as he never permanently reaches his goal.
Carol Dameron brings a unique and thoughtful approach to her art. Carol's latest body of work consists of 4' x 4' oil-on-wood paintings, a contemporary narrative fused with elements from medieval art, Absurdist French theatre, and Fellini's films. She calls her paintings "ballads."
Oil on wood. Two panels.
