Martha van der Linde started painting while living in Botswana. She is self-taught, painting en pleine aire while Camping. Mediums used: Water color, Oils and Acrylic.

Commissioned by Botswana Government to paint a landscape for Sir Peter Fawcuss, the then British High Commissioner in Botswana.
First one-woman exhibition in Bulawayo, Rhodesia.
1968
Commissioned by the Botswana President, Sir Seretse Khama, a painting for presentation to President Kaunda of Zambia on his State visit, and a painting as a gift to Mauritius on their Independence.
One- woman exhibition in Salisbury Rhodesia.
1970
One-woman exhibition in Bulawayo.
