The Fisherman
JB37 - Strength of face and muscles as the fisherman stares bluntly at us, almost questioning us, provoking us. One eye squints in his stare. He is colorful against the black background of the painting.Jack Barrett said, “I love to draw people because that is where the soul resides.” His art reflects his philosophy and vast talent. Had Jack never sold one painting, he would have painted as it was his life’s passion. From the age of seven he wanted to be an artist. He came to believe that a “man is never closer to God than when he is being creative.”
