Naked Maja
JV 012 18th century Spanish females who dressed in elaborate outfits, generally of a lower class, this maja is nude, lying down, but she has the bright red of the flower behind her ear as she appears to be asleep.
Jon Vlahos was raised and educated in Toronto, Canada, but lives in and is inspired by Greece. Many of his paintings interpret the mythology of ancient Greece. Jon has run his own private art school in Athens.
