Frequently Asked Questions about an Online Art Gallery

  1. What is an online art gallery?
    Discover Original Art, LLC is a company that provides a website for presenting quality, original artwork for purchase.  It is an easy and secure way to purchase art in the comfort of your own surroundings.  Artists sign up for our services and list their art paying a commission only when their art is sold.  The buyer is guaranteed an original piece of artwork.
  2. Does Discover Original Art offer refunds?
    We try to ensure that our clients are happy with the artwork they receive as we offer only quality original art. However, if you decide that you are not pleased for any reason, you have seven (7) days to decide whether or not you wish to keep the artwork. If you decide you must return it, you must notify us at returns@discoveroriginalart.com  to receive instructions on how to return the artwork to the artist. The buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.  Once the artwork is received and inspected for any possible damage, the buyer will receive a full refund of the sale’s price.
  3. How does Discover Original Art ensure my artwork arrives safely?
    You can be confident that we take every precaution to make sure your artwork arrives safely. It will be packed carefully and fully insured.
  4. What if I buy Artwork and it is not delivered?
    Discover Original Art will hold your funds and not transfer payment to the artist until the buyer receives and approves the artwork. The buyer receives a tracking number of the shipment and a receipt.  All shipments will be insured. If the carrier loses the shipment, it will be the responsibility of the artist to work out that loss with the carrier.  Discover Original Art will refund full payment to the buyer.
  5. If I have purchased artwork but am having a problem, what do I do?
    Simply notify us at returns@discoveroriginalart.com for help with the problem.
  6. Can the artwork that is sold by Discover Original Art be reproduced by the buyer?
    No. Reproduction of the Art purchased on the site falls under the same trademark and copyright laws as art purchased through any gallery.  The right to reproduction of a piece of art would have to be negotiated between the buyer and artist and would be independent of the sale on our website and independent of Discover Original Art, LLC.
  7. Who pays for shipping?
    Shipping and insurance costs are included in the purchase price and are paid by the artist. However, if a return is made, the buyer is responsible for the return shipping and insurance costs.
  8. Is any of the artwork framed?
    We do not ship framed artwork, as most collectors prefer to have framing done themselves.
