Sisyphus (consists of two panels) Carol Dameron has studied art in Paris, Amsterdam, Portugal, and St. Petersburg, Florida. Her latest body of work consists of oil-on-wood paintings, a contemporary narrative fused with elements from medieval art, absurdist French theatre, and mythology. My favorite and most successful painting is Lady in Hat. The story of that wonderful young lady is very interesting. She is a Hungarian painter who lived in England and worked as a kitchen worker for her living. The reference photo was done during one of her lunch breaks when she visited a boutique close to the kitchen where she worked. She tried on clothes and accessories, including the hat in the picture. Would you think that under that coat and hat she wears the kitchen robe? She is wonderful, isn’t she?
