By Administrator Account on 12/7/2009 1:25 PM

TigersEye is very pleased to announce that we have added noted local potter, Wendy Durand.  Wendy has always wanted to be a potter and now she is pursuing her dream!  Her works range from beautiful, and often delicate, pieces of horsehair pottery to pieces that are bright and intense in color.  She is often whimsical with her forms.

Welcome to Wendy Durand!

The Sun Will Melt Your Wings!

By Administrator Account on 11/30/2009 1:28 PM

CD007Icarus Icarus!  Mythology lives! Recent movies and books are testaments that ancient mythology lives today.

Carol Dameron, noted artist, often finds inspiration in mythology .  Icarus flying with wings made by his father.  Icarus flies to closely to the sun.  And, as we can all guess, the wax that holds the wings together……melts.  How terrible to see your son fall to earth!

Check out Carol’s other paintings at Discover Original Art.

Say “YES” to Original Art!!!!!

By Administrator Account on 10/19/2009 1:14 PM

Blank walls?  Never!

I just watched a program on tv where a decorator took a beautiful, large, blank wall and …………..painted the wall black with some gold squiggles!  How could she!?!  There is such a wide array of art available.  Fascinating art!  Excellent art! Provoking art!

As I watched (and watched the homeowner’s look of horror when she saw the wall), I wished I could have shown them the artwork we represent!  Artwork that is beautiful and would provide a feast for the eyes and soul!

Just say “no” to blank walls.  Just say “no” to walls painted to look like, what can I call it?  Just say “yes” to original art.

Allison Massari: Artist Extraordinaire!

By Administrator Account on 10/10/2009 5:54 AM

Attended Allison’s opening last night!  FANTASTIC!!!!!  Pyrotechnic Luminescence is a must see exhibit!  Allison barely survived a tragic car accident in 1998 but Allison looks at that accident as a gift of life!  She was interviewed for tv and her energy and positive attitude are inspiring.

AND her artwork is alive and beautiful!  Her statement: “I am creating visual vibrations.”  If you did not have an opportunity to attend the opening, don’t miss the exhibition. It runs until November 14 at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida!
