Blank walls? Never! I just watched a program on tv where a decorator took a beautiful, large, blank wall and …………..painted the wall black with some gold squiggles! How could she!?! There is such a wide array of art available. Fascinating art! Excellent art! Provoking art! As I watched (and watched the homeowner’s look of horror when she saw the wall), I wished I could have shown them the artwork we represent! Artwork that is beautiful and would provide a feast for the eyes and soul! Just say “no” to blank walls. Just say “no” to walls painted to look like, what can I call it? Just say “yes” to original art.

Attended Allison’s opening last night! FANTASTIC!!!!! Pyrotechnic Luminescence is a must see exhibit! Allison barely survived a tragic car accident in 1998 but Allison looks at that accident as a gift of life! She was interviewed for tv and her energy and positive attitude are inspiring. AND her artwork is alive and beautiful! Her statement: “I am creating visual vibrations.” If you did not have an opportunity to attend the opening, don’t miss the exhibition. It runs until November 14 at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida!

Discover Original Art is partnering with the local downtown St. Petersburg office of Keller Williams to create a “wall of art.” The space is perfect for displaying artwork and we will be rotating art so our artists will be represented. As people go into the office to buy houses, condos, buildings…..we will be represented with a brochure and artwork!
More information to come so watch for it!

Participated in Art Walk last weekend and had fun. And….found a great new potter! We are looking forward to adding her to our site! She is on a trip right now but when she returns, we will be working with her. Will give you her name when all is definite! The problem with meeting new artists is……I love their works and want to own them! Now that I live in a condo, I have limited space and every wall has artwork on it. Sometimes more than one piece! But what an enjoyable problem. Looking forward to adding some new art soon! Stay posted!

Coleman Hawkins was one of the greatest jazz musicians of the 1960’s. We have some fantastic photographs of Jazz greats from the 50’s and 60’s. These were taken by a well known photographer Herb Snitzer. Check the gallery and take a peek. We will be posting further detailed information about photographs.

Live with a blank, empty wall? Never! That is not for me! I have had a passion for collecting art from a very early age! When I was really young, I would cut the back cover off my parents' Reader's Digest as it usually was a copy of a work of art. My closet door was plastered with the pictures!
Eventually I tried to create my own artwork! My talent was and is nonexistent. But I met a wonderful artist by the name of Brother Paul from St. Leo's College in Florida. I bought my first original art from Brother Paul and still have a small collection of his works.
From there it was just fate! My walls are now covered with art. Whenever I move I make sure that each painting is wrapped carefully. Now I live in a condo and have limited wall space. Does that stop me? Never! I love fine art. I collect fine art. I live with fine art!
What about you? Are you a collector? Or just starting to collect? Write back. Let us know!
